Under appreciated?

Earlier today a friend of mine posted on facebook asking when will she ever be acknoledged for the many things she does as a mom and as a wife.

This made me think...How much are we, (stay at home moms) under appreciated!?

We work just as much, just as hard and just as long as any 9 to 5 job. It is just as if not more demanding as well. We don't get paid for cooking, cleaning, being a nurse, a personal assistant, and so on. The point is we don't claim we are better than anyone who works a 9 to 5 jobs or any type of job for that matter. I do think we deserve a little bit of credit for what we do, deal with and put up with. As girlfriends, fiances, and wives we are there for our significant others as much as humanly possible. We love them with all our hearts. We care for them like no one else does. We understand that some people believe that just because we have children and have chosen to stay at home that there is something wrong with that. What is so wrong about wanting to love and be there for you child? Watching their first steps, seeing how much they have accomplished? Why would we want to miss those firsts? Why wouldn't we want to be apart of such an amazing experience if given that chance and opportunity!?

We do so much each and every day. Some days may be the same, and other may be different. We are constantly going! So PLEASE before you judge or critize. Before you say our job is easy and ask why we deserve a "Good Job," ask us what it is that we do ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Then MAYBE you'll think differently. I wouldn't change my decision to be a stay at home mom for anything is this world!
